Key definitions

“Academy” means Future Step Football Academy Ltd.
“Parent” means the person who books and pays.
“Player” means the child who attends.
“Session” means a training class run by the Academy.
“Membership” means a rolling monthly plan paid by Direct Debit.
“Venue” means The Soccer Centre or any other place we tell you about in advance.

Service overview
  • Groups: Foundation, Juniors, Academy, Elite.
  • Session length: 60 minutes.
  • Standard schedule: weekly during term time unless we say otherwise.
  • Free taster: one per session, subject to space.
  • Every 12 weeks we have a rest week, by means no class that week.
Joining and eligibility
  • Players are accepted at our discretion.
  • You must give correct details, including medical and emergency contacts.
  • You confirm you are the parent or have authority to act for the parent or carer.
  • Players must follow the coach’s instructions and venue rules.
Free tasters
  • Free tasters are subject to availability.
  • A free taster does not reserve a place after the session. You must complete a Membership or pay for a block if offered.
Membership, fees, and billing
  • Membership is a rolling monthly plan paid by Direct Debit through our provider, such as Stripe, GoCardless or PayPal.
  • Fees are due in advance each month on the date shown at checkout.
  • Your place is confirmed only when the first payment clears.
  • We may adjust fees. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email. You can cancel before the new price starts.
  • We may offer blocks, camps, or events with different prices and terms. We will show these at the point of booking.
Cancellations and refunds

Cooling off for new online bookings

  • If you buy online as a consumer, you may have a 14-day cooling-off period under UK law.
  • If the service starts during the cooling-off period and you attend, we will charge a fair amount for what you used. If the service is fully provided before the period ends, you will not have the right to cancel for those services.
Ongoing cancellation
  • You can cancel your Membership at any time with 30 days’ notice.
  • Cancel by email to official.fsfa@gmail.com or through your account if available. You must also cancel the Direct Debit with your bank.
  • We do not refund partial months once a billing cycle has started. We will keep your place active until the notice period ends.
Missed sessions by you
  • We do not refund missed sessions. This includes illness, holidays, or other commitments.
  • Where space allows, we may offer a swap. Swaps are not guaranteed.
Sessions cancelled by us
  • If we cancel a session, we will offer a like-for-like credit, a rescheduled date, or a refund for that session.
  • Reasons may include coach illness, Venue closure, unsafe weather, or events outside our control.
Weather and safety
  • We train in normal UK weather. We may pause or stop for heavy ice, lightning, or unsafe conditions.
  • The coach decides if the play is safe on the day.
  • If a session stops after it starts due to safety, we will act reasonably about credits.
Venue rules and drop-off
  • Follow Venue rules at all times.
  • Arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before and collect promptly at the end.
  • Tell the coach if someone else will collect your child.
  • Late collection may incur a reasonable fee to cover staff time.
Kit and equipment
  • Players need suitable footwear for 3G surfaces, shin pads, and a drink.
  • Remove jewellery and tie long hair back.
  • Label your items. We are not responsible for lost property.
Medical and emergencies
  • Tell us about medical needs before attending. Bring any inhalers or medication your child needs.
  • In an emergency, you agree we may give basic first aid and call emergency services if needed.
  • You remain responsible for ongoing medical care and instructions.
Safeguarding and welfare
  • All coaches are DBS-checked and follow the FA safeguarding policy.
  • Parents must stay in the building or within 10 minutes of the Venue if we ask, for specific age groups or needs.
  • We may remove any player or parent whose behaviour risks safety or welfare, with no refund for that session.
Photography and video
  • We will only capture or use photos or video with your written consent.
  • Use includes our public Academy social pages, for example, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • We never publish a child’s full name with an image.
  • You can withdraw consent at any time. We will stop future use and remove our copies where we control them. We cannot control re-shares outside our pages.
Code of conduct

Players

  • Try your best, respect others, respect the coach, and play fair.
  • No bullying, foul language, or unsafe play.

Parents and carers

  • Support all players. Respect coaches, staff, and referees.
  • No coaching from the sidelines that disrupts the session.
  • Tell us quickly about any concerns.
Health and fitness
  • You confirm your child is fit to take part. Ask a clinician if you are unsure.
  • Sport carries risk. We take reasonable care, but minor injuries can happen.
Liability
  • We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
  • Otherwise, our liability is limited to the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We are not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably foresee, or for loss of profit, business, or goodwill.
  • This does not affect your legal rights.
Personal property
  • You bring belongings at your own risk. We do not insure personal items.
Website accounts and bookings
  • Keep your login secure and accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • We may suspend accounts used in breach of these terms.
  • We aim to keep the website available. We may suspend for maintenance or security.
Payments
  • We collect payments by Direct Debit using providers such as Stripe, GoCardless or Paypal
  • You authorise our provider and us to take monthly fees until you cancel.
  • If payment fails, we may re-attempt collection. We may suspend attendance until the account is up to date.
Price errors
  • If we list a price by mistake, we may cancel and refund before delivery of the service.
Holiday camps and events
  • Separate terms may apply. We will show them when you book.
  • Places are limited. Bookings are first-come, first-served
Privacy
  • Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data, including CCTV at the Venue, where applicable. See the Privacy Policy on our website.
Complaints
  • Email official.fsfa@gmail.com. We will acknowledge and aim to resolve within 14 days.
  • If a safeguarding issue is urgent, tell the coach at once or use the contact in our safeguarding policy.
Force majeure
  • We are not responsible for failure caused by events outside our control, for example, extreme weather, floods, strikes, epidemics, utility failure, Venue closure, or orders by authorities.
  • We will act reasonably to reduce the impact and to resume services.
Suspension and termination
  • We may suspend or end Membership if fees are unpaid, if behaviour risks safety, or for serious or repeated breaches.
  • We will tell you by email. You must still pay fees due to the suspension date.
Changes to these terms
  • We may update these terms. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice for material changes.
  • Continued attendance after the change date means you accept the new terms.
Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
